Squad rules change the task
Use the rules of the Squad you selected
Tape to Tape Squads can change the lineup you manage, the way points are counted or the shot you need to create. Start with the rule affecting your current attempt rather than treating every hockey tip as universal. These guides cover specific decisions, not a complete nineteen-Squad unlock database.
Choose the rule that is causing the problem
- Choosing a starting option: use the existing CS13985 comparison of 16-Bit, Modern and Violence, with its Steam-version boundary.
- Double Decker: prepare two usable lines and compare their stamina before making a manual change.
- Dominator: read the current Lucky Puck effect instead of assuming every goal moves the score by one.
- Slapshot: create space for the windup and distinguish the Squad's shot restriction from an optional Power-up.
- Defense: check the scorer’s assigned defensive position and the reported +2 Team OVR result.
- Trio: involve both teammates in the goal, then verify two recorded assists and the Team OVR result.
For ordinary roster growth, use Campaign
Campaign's Bench-development and map-reward guides address who should play and which opportunity helps the current roster. Double Decker line rotation is an in-match task; it is not a substitute for the normal Bench's sit-out development decision. Oldschool removes the Bench, so a growth plan must still fit the selected Squad.
For a locked Squad, inspect the condition shown by your installed game. A historical achievement description does not automatically establish the current unlock requirement after the progression update. These pages do not provide missing requirements by guesswork.
Check the outcome the rule actually changes
A successful line change means the intended group takes over; a completed windup is not a guaranteed goal; a Dominator scoring play needs its actual scoreboard change checked. Keep that immediate result separate from whether the entire match or run succeeds. Each task page retains the source's version and example limits.
