Choose a run with the current rules
Campaign, Squads and co-op modes
Tape to Tape 1.0 replaced the old campaign progression loop. These guides help you choose a Squad and understand current unlocks without planning around a removed currency or an outdated requirement.
Choose the decision before the run
- Picking a Squad: compare the playstyle changes stated in CS13985.
- Returning from Early Access: separate the old currency loop from current challenge-based unlocks.
- Following a player example: keep its stated difficulty, Squad uncertainty and random rewards attached to the advice.
- Playing with friends: separate local campaign co-op from a streamed Steam Remote Play Together session.
- Visiting Training: read whether this campaign encounter improves one player or the whole team. It is not a free-practice mode.
An unlock idea is not a guaranteed route
The current sources do not provide a verified checklist for every Squad or challenge. A successful personal run can suggest a useful approach without proving that the same rewards or conditions will appear in yours.
When the question is a different kind of task
For a character-specific challenge, use the Benchwarmers section to separate quest completion from recruitment. For a match outside the run, use Modes & platforms. The campaign guides below continue to cover its Squad, reward, Training and co-op decisions.
Choose the next roster decision
Use the Bench guide to compare a reserve before and after a sit-out development reward. Use the map-reward guide to choose between improving an existing player, taking a useful Challenge reward and recruiting for a missing role.
The Squads channel covers special match rules. Double Decker line rotation during a game is a different action from developing an ordinary reserve between games.
